It took me two years and nearly three months to hear officially back from authorities in Québec to find out an "official" cause and date, when Sid's life and his wondrous, luminescent radiance left us. It was apparently on Friday June 29th, 2009. And there was no easily discernible cause, according to the official Coroner's Report; and so they have reported their 'findings' and typed a reference to a fatal cardiac arrhythymia. And summed it up as being from 'natural' causes. I have my own take on this, but will leave it out of this tribute and contain my sheer incomprehension and rage at this finding. Sid would certainly understand and share my feelings; that much I know. Only that much; and after all the waiting... waiting... and waiting. And so now I live with this knowledge, that I'll never really know his last hours and moments, alone on his bed upstairs, with his light fading until it was ... gone. Just gone, like that.
